elhi redients may suffer more power cuts with DVC threatening to stop supply to the city's two major distribution companies.

BSES Rajdhani Power and BSES Yamuna Power may lose power supply for non-payment of dues exceeding Rs 330 crore.

"The two Discoms of Delhi - BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd and BSES Yamuna Power Ltd  - have been repeatedly requested by Damodar Valley Corporation to clear the outstandings immediately; else face the non-supply of power from its power stations," said the DVC.

The two discoms have been receiving power from DVC since April 2007 as per the power puchase agreements signed between them. The amount due to be paid by BSES Rajdhani stands at about Rs 169 Crore while BSES Yamuna Power has a liability of about Rs 162 Crore, as on date, DVC said.

It supplies nearly 280 MW electricity to BSES Rajdhani and BSES Yamuna together.
