Maybank names Alice Tan as head of group wealth management
Tan will continue on her role of Maybank’s head of wealth mgmt for Singapore.
Maybank has appointed Alice Tan Siew Hwee as head of group wealth management (GWM), effective 1 August.
In her new role, Tan is tasked with leading the Maybank’s group wealth management business, covering Privilege Wealth, Premier Wealth, Private Wealth, and Islamic Wealth segments in all the countries where Maybank operates these segments.
Tan will continue in her role as head of wealth management for Singapore.
She is tasked with spearheading and driving the overall transformation and change management aspects, and to realise the new group wealth management agile organisation, Maybank said in a press release.
Tan brings over 27 years of experience working in the financial sector. She spent over 16 years working in private banking across all asset classes, staring with Overseas Union Bank in 1997 before moving to UOB Asset Management. She has also worked for Allianz Dresdner Asset Management, Societe Generale Asset Management, Coutts & Co, and Credit Suisse.
Prior to joining Maybank Singapore in 2014, Tan was director, deputy head of client portfolio managers, Asia for Credit Suisse AG.
