The award is not the first as the company previously won the Indonesia Green Award (IGA) 2021 for pioneering eco-friendly coal-steamed power plants by implementing advanced eco-friendly technology.

It bagged the Environmental Upgrade of the Year - Indonesia and the Coal Power Project of the Year - Silver awards.

By 2050, coal-fired power plants are expected to be replaced with cleaner alternative energy.
