Tripura will receive a Wolrd Bank loan of INR11 billion or US$245.34 million to improve power transmission and distribution system.
The loan will also be used to connect the transmission line with the state of Assam.
Tripura intends to export power to neighbouring states, and the upgrades and improvement are necessary for this.
