China Resources Power gets approval for two wind farms

China Resources Power has obtained approval from the PRC Government to operate Qiaowan Phase I Wind Farm and Dahao Wind Farm.

Qiaowan Phase I Wind Farm is located in the Jiuquan Area of Gansu Province, with an installed capacity of 201MW. Equipment for the wind farm will be sourced domestically. It is expected to commence commercial operation in 2010. Electricity generated will be supplied to the North-western power grid.

Located in Haojiang district, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, Dahao Wind Farm which has installed capacity of 20MW with equipment to be sourced domestically is expected to commence commercial operation in 2009. Electricity generated will be supplied to the Guangdong provincial power grid.
