Unit 5 at Khaperkheda shut down on pollution issues

Khaperkheda Unit-5 has been shut down after the State Pollution Control Board has issued a show-cause notice.

 

Effluent treatment plant and side cladding of coal conveyor, minimum requirements, that are to be attended by utility, have been revised from the targeted 15th July to 18th July, this year.

Work for rerouting of ash slurry pipeline has been concluded for line one, while the second line is due for completion by 20th July.

The 500 MW thermal power project, is being implemented by the Maharashtra State Power Generating Company Limited.

The unit has been synchronized on coal and capacity loading upto 82 MW has been achieved.

Bunkering activities is likely to commence after clearance from SPCB.
