THDC awaits approval for UPID land transfer for Dhukwa SHP

THDC is awaiting permission from the Government of Uttar Pradesh to use the land owned by the UP Irrigation Department for its Dhukwa small hydro project.

The company has been given the approval to transfer 21.08 Ha of land from Jhansi district for the purpose of compensatory afforestation. Furthermore, the process of entering UPID land in the official land records is currently in progress.

The project will be constructed at the toe of existing Dhukwan masonry cum earthen dam across Betwa River. The project is part of the overall development of the power potential of the Betwa River in the Dhukwan region of Jhansi district in UP.
