Luzon Hydro in default on 70MW plant

Luzon Hydro Corp has been given a notice of default by Napocor due to delay in the completion of the tunnel lining repair of Bakun hydroelectric power plant.

This has caused the prolonged downtime of shutdown of the 70-megawatt plant.

The default that means “no payment will be made for the facility until the plant will become operational.”

Based on the timetable set out by Luzon Hydro, a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power, the completion of its repair work at the Bakun facility will be October this year, and that it targets to “immediately resume operations thereafter.”
