China Huadian and GE to form power projects JV in China
China Huadian have formed a joint venture company with Generala Electric to develop distributed energy combined heat and power projects in China.
The JV, to be named Huadian GE Aero Gas Turbine Equipment Co., will have an investment of $100 million with China Huadian will hold the majority stake in the new company
The company will accelerate growth opportunities for GE in the aeroderivative gas turbines sector in China.
GE Power & Water president and CEO for aeroderivative gas turbines Darryl Wilson said the joint venture will help China meet its need for more than 1,000 distributed energy combined heat and power plants in the next ten years.
