Anpara unit shut for normal linkages inspection
The 600 MW unit-1 of the Anpara 'C' thermal power plant has been shut down to inspect the normal linkages.
This caused an unexpected delay in achieving full load generation. Although the unit coal was synchronized within the stipulated time period, the unit can only restart by end of July after fixing the necessary leakages.
To compound matters the work on the air pre-heater was held up since the APH was severely damaged and had to be dismantled. Currently, the replacement material is being air lifted in 8 flights and is expected to arrive at the site by end of August.
Alongside, four mills have been tested and established. All of the critical activities, including oil synchronization and coal firing process, were concluded by June 2011. In view of the setbacks faced by Lanco Anpara Power Ltd, the full load generation was postponed by 7 months, and is now scheduled for October 2011.
