
Sanan to start constructing PV project in China
Sanan Optoelectronics has started constructing a US$1.22 billion photovoltaic project in Anhui Province, China.
According to China Knowledge, the company is targeting an output of 200MW upon completion of the first phase in October this year. The project is being developed in partnership with EMCORE and will be constructed in three phases.
The expected total capacity of the plant, after all three phases have been completed, is 1GW per annum.
The Wuhu Government of Anhui Province has granted a subsidy of $9.12 million to a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanan Optoelectronics to finance the project.
