QatarEnergy and CPC sign 27-year LNG supply deal
They will also partner for the North Field East LNG expansion project.
QatarEnergy signed a sales and purchase agreement to supply liquified natural gas (LNG) to Taiwan’s CPC Corporation for 27 years.
In a statement, QatarEnergy said that the agreement will involve the supply of four million tonnes per annum (mtpa) over the covered period.
Moreover, the two companies also signed a share sale and purchase agreement to partner for the North Field East (NFE) LNG expansion project.
Under the deal, QatarEnergy will transfer to CPC a 5% interest in the equivalent of one NFE LNG train with a capacity of eight mtpa.
