
KPTL bags $1.9B contracts
India's Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited secured three contracts worth INR13 billion or $1.99 billion from domestic, Ukrainian and Tanzanian companies.
Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission awarded a contract worth INR4.57 billion or $700 million to KPTL for the construction of 400kv Babhaleshwar to Kudos DCQ 200km line and 400kv D/C Padge to Tarapur DC line of 4km.
Ukraine-based NEC Ukrenergo awarded the company a contract worth INR8.25 billion or $1.26 billion for the construction of 750kv, 353km transmission lines.
The contract is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and is slated to be complete in two years’ time.
Tanzania-based Millenium Challenge Account awarded a contract worth INR420 million or $64.37 million for the construction of a 132kv transmission line of 41km to connect Zanzibar Interconnector.
