
India's biggest solar power plant to rise in Gujarat
India’s biggest solar power generation plant of 40MW will soon rise at Patan in Gujarat. According to the Hindu, PLG Power Limited will put up the project.
PLG has got the distinction of becoming the very first company to come up with 40MW of solar power generation at a stretch in India. It has the equity participation of 20MW with Zamil of Saudi Arabia and 20MW with Ashburg of Britain.
PLG chairman Punit Goyal said power generation from the project would be four phases of 10MW each. The first phase of 10MW is likely to be connected shortly for the power generation. And all four phases will be completed by the end of next financial year.
