India completes 11 solar parks under government scheme

The 11 solar parks have a total capacity of 8,521 MW.

A total of 11 solar parks with a total capacity of 8,521 megawatts (MW) have been completed so far under the government’s “Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Power Projects” scheme.

In a written reply to Lok Sabha, Union  Minister of New Renewable Energy & Power Sh. R. K. Singh added that seven solar parks with a total capacity of 3,985 MW have also been partially completed.

The government scheme covers 50 solar parks across 12 states with a total capacity of 37,990 MW.

The 50 solar parks are located in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
