SoftBank and Bloom Energy form JV

Company will supply green energy to businesses in Japan.

Japanese Internet and telecom operator SoftBank Corporation has organized a joint venture with US firm Bloom Energy named Bloom Energy Japan,.

The JV intends to address Japan's urgent need for clean, reliable, and affordable electricity and has a start-up capital of US$10 million.

It will market Bloom's Energy Server technology that lets companies generate their own electricity onsite, reduce their carbon and water footprint, while lowering energy costs and mitigating power outage risks.
