CNOOC eyes shutting down renewable energy subsidiary

According to reports, China National Offshore Oil Corp will be shutting down its New Energy Investment subsidiary. This is reportedly due to waning demand and rocketing production costs.

New Energy Investment has been suffering financial losses since its foundation in 2007, thus losing the confidence from company's executives.
