Danish energy company Ørsted launches expansion in Vietnam

This comes on the back of Vietnam increasing renewable energy to 30% by 2030

Danish energy company Ørsted has announced its entrance to Vietnam amidst the country’s commitment to raise renewable energy generation by 30% by 2030.

Aside from opening an office in the country, it also plans to build a local team to help with its goal in helping Vietnam build more off-shore wind farms.

“Vietnam has great potential and optimal conditions to develop offshore wind. As an important market for Ørsted in the region, we are excited to be making our first steps in the market and believe that offshore wind energy can deliver competitive and reliable electricity to the Vietnamese people and help power the booming Vietnamese economy,” Matthias Bausenwein, president of Ørsted Asia-Pacific said.
