Tata Power appoints new CFO

Sanjeev Churiwala took over the role on 1 January.

Tata Power on Monday said Sanjeev Churiwala is joining the company as its new chief financial officer (CFO) starting 1 January.

Former CFO Ramesh Subramanyam moved to a new role within Tata Group, it said.

Churiwala, a chartered accountant, has 27 years of corporate experience in the financial services sector which roles include reporting and controlling of listed companies, exposure to projects supply chain, fund raising, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to this, he worked with Diageo as regional finance director for Asia Pacific and Global Travel Retail. He also worked with Ambuja Cements, an Indian-listed subsidiary of Holcim.

Churiwala holds an Executive Master of Business Administration Degree from the London Business School. He is also a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Tata Power has an installed/managed capacity of 13,068 megawatts.
