United Solar chosen for Chinese railway station rooftop

United Solar Ovonic Jinneng will supply Uni-Solar thin-film PV laminates for the 565kW rooftop solar installation at Tianjin West Railway Station in Tianjin, China.

The solar project holds an estimated 749MW of energy production per year.

"This is the largest single installation of our joint venture's product in the Chinese market to date," said Mark Morelli, president and CEO of Energy Conversion Devices, parent company of United Solar. "We are confident that we are well positioned to capitalize on this growing solar market in the future."
