Catch the 2017 Asian Power Utility Forum on its last leg in Singapore

It will be on April 25 at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.

The Asian Power will be ending its 3-city road show in Singapore, and attendees can look forward to expert insights and intelligent panel sessions on policy issues and challenges faced by the Singaporean solar sector.

Mike Thomas, partner at The Lantau Group, is among this year's thought leaders for the Singapore leg, and he will discuss regulatory roadblocks in the ASEAN region. How will countries be hurt by roadblocks and what are the long-term effects? How should players deal with this and still work successfully in Singapore?

On a much larger scale, Southeast Asian countries are working hard to develop a regional power market and enhance energy security in both domestic and regional power markets. However, regulatory roadblocks still exist in each country hampering the push to make this vision a reality. This is one of the reasons why we deem that it's high time for industry experts to come together in one room to discuss this issue, among others, and glean a deeper understanding of what is going on and how they should work around it.

Tom O’ Meara, Senior Vice President for ABB's energy portfolio management solutions, will also be taking the podium and will discuss ABB's role in the energy sector both in the region and in Singapore. 

Gautam Jindal, research associate at the Energy Studies Institute of the National University of Singapore, and Tony Segadelli, managing director of Snowy Owl Energy, will also be speaking to share their insights on the sector's current situation. 

There will be panel discussions on attractive funding solutions available to industry players and how Singapore is beating energy scarcity with technology. 

Key representatives from Women in Energy - Asia, Berkeley Energy, Galway Group, Keppel Energy, Laxyo Energy Limited, iSwitch, PacificLight Power, Sembcorp, SP Powergrid, Standard Chartered Bank, and Tuas Power among others will be present in the forum. 

Asian Power's Singapore leg will be on April 25 at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore from 8:30AM to 11:00AM.
