Huadian to build four 10GW hydropower bases

China Huadian Group will build four 10-million-kilowatt hydropower bases in China during 2011-2015.

According to a report, the four bases will be located in up stream and midstream of Jinsha River, Wujiang River, and Nujiang River, all of which are in the southwestern part of China.

The four hydropower bases are expected to increase total hydropower installed capacity of the company by 10-26 million kilowatt s by 2015, accounting for 8 percent of China's total hydropower installed capacity.
