Trash-burning power plant in China prepares for operation
The Hangu Power plant in north China's coastal city of Tianjin will begin operating before June.
This was announced by the spokesman for the Tianjin Electric Power Corporation.
Located in Binhai New District of Tianjin, the Hangu trash-burning plant largest trash-burning power plant in the country with an area of 13.2 hectares. It is expected to consume 2,000 tonnes of trash daily.
On completion, it will be able to treat 667,000 tonnes of trash and generate 146 million kwh of electricity each year.
