GE invests $1.2 B for Indonesian expansion
General Electric has allocated US$1.2 billion to finance its expansion outside Java with a brand new office in East Kalimantan province's capital of Balikpapan.
The opening of GE office in Balikpapan was aimed at providing support towards rapid development in energy, infrastructure, health and train transportation industry sectors in East, Central and South Kalimantan provinces, said GE Indonesia President Handry Satriago.
The office in Balikpapan would be GE's the fifth in Indonesia and the first one serving outside Java island.
