China Power New Energy avoids nuclear plant projects
China Power New Energy Development will not build new nuclear power plants this year following Japan’s nuclear crisis last month, according to Chairman Li Xiolin. The company currently has 13 nuclear power plants operations.
The company will still focus on new energy development, which could become a new source of income for the company, said CEO Liu Genyu. Liu added that the company’s totaled installed capacity will reach two million kilowatts in 2011 and six million kilowatts by 2015.
