Inner Mongolia wind power to be raised to 13GW
China will increase its wind power capacity to 13GW in Inner Mongolia, the country's top wind power region, by the end of this year.
The capacity would be over half of China's total at the beginning of 2011, according to data from the National Energy Administration.
Inner Mongolia Power Corp. general manager Zhang Fusheng said the region may gain 30GW of wind power generating capacity by 2015 and 50GW by 2020.
In the last month, the region has installed 10.9GW of wind farms, according to Fusheng.
