
North-West to install 810 MW Bangaladesh projects
The North-West Power Generation Company is set to install 810 MW power project in the northwestern part of Bangladesh.
The plan it is set to install liquid fuel-based and coal fired power projects to cater the electricity demand to cope with the yearly growth of the region.
“To feed irrigation pumps and industrial demand of the region we are set to install eight to 12 small size power projects along with five big size plants at different places of the northern part”, said State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Mohammad Enamul Haque.
However, the people will see visible change in power sector within a year, he added. He said these projects would separately implemented by the Power Division of Bangladesh and private sector in northern districts.
