Marubeni to construct Bangladesh combined cycle power plant

A US$370 million contract was signed by Marubeni with Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh.

Marubeni will carry out engineering, procurement, delivery of the equipment, and the construction and installation work for the 400MW New Haripur Combined Cycle Power Plant.

The construction will be supported by Japanese ODA Loan funded from the Japanese Government through Japan International Cooperation Agency, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Fuji Electric Systems will supply the gas turbine generator and the steam turbine generator respectively, according to Marubeni.
