NTPC eyes Maldives for solar power projects

NTPC is conducting a feasibility study in Maldives to explore the potential of the island nation for setting up solar power projects. The final report is expected in the next 3-4 months.

“As of now, we are looking at Maldives for setting up solar power projects and will finalise a report in 3-4 months,” said National Thermal Power Corporation Chairman and Managing Director Arup Roy Choudhury.

NTPC was also going to set up 105 MW new solar power plants at Anta, Dadri, Ramagundam, Sipat and Korba in the next 2-3 years, he added.
