Mega solar power plant in Malaysia seals 40-46 sen per kWh tariff rate

It's to be signed when Obama visits.

According to reports, 1Malaysia Development Bhd's mega solar power plant has secured a tariff rate that's ranging between 40 to 46 sen per kilowatt hour.

These rates are lower than the existing ones for solar plants. The planned 50MW solar farm will be built in Kdeah.

It's been also reported that parties are working together to announce it in time for US President Barack Obama's visit next month.
