Sembcorp acquires 200 MW wind assets in China
The Group’s renewables portfolio is at 12.6 GW.
Sembcorp Industries has completed the full acquisition of Qinzhou Yuanneng Wind Power Co. which operates 200 megawatts of operational wind assets in Guangxi, China.
In a disclosure, Sembcorp said the assets were acquired through its subsidiary Sembcorp Energy (Shanghai) Holding Co., Ltd.
The acquisition brings the Group’s renewables to 12.6 gigawatts comprising solar, wind, and energy storage assets, including 473 MW of acquisitions that are yet to be completed.
In November, Sembcorp signed a deal to acquire the share capital of Envision Energy Co., Ltd in Qinzhou Yuanneng Wind Power worth $96.8m (S$130m).
