Cladtek clinches win at Asian Oil & Gas Awards for ESG initiatives

Their focus on ESG improved stakeholder relationships, strengthened competitive advantage, and promoted growth.

Cladtek, a leading supplier of corrosion resistant alloy mechanically lined pipes, has bagged the ESG Initiative of the Year - Singapore category win at the recently held Asian Oil & Gas Awards for its strong ESG framework and the launch of key initiatives in 2022.

The development of a solid ESG framework to underpin Cladtek’s growth carefully considers the needs of all stakeholders. This includes a strong employee benefit focus to enable equal opportunity and improve employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing.

For the company, it provides them with a pathway to attract the best talent and a strong competitive market advantage. It strengthens key stakeholder relationships and has been important in helping establish shared values and protecting long-term investment.

As such, redeveloping the internal structures of the company shone light on the necessity of a brand repositioning and revitalisation. This comes amidst the need to promote the new solutions Cladtek is now offering in the renewables sector and a more powerful company culture.

Under this, Cladtek’s iN-Shield programme was developed. iN-Shield is based on the Lean Manufacturing methodology and improves the synergy between the key areas of the entire organisation, in addition to giving the true direction to achieve gold standards.

The vehicle for the delivery of this programme is the Cladtek Academy which underwent considerable expansion in 2022, growing into Brazil and in Saudi Arabia. With this expansion, Cladtek now has more than seven certification modules and has facilitated in excess of 175 technical programme sessions in 2022 alone. It has also developed over 14 key strategic partnerships with universities, polytechnics, vocational schools, and government bodies.

Cladtek’s plans and initiatives culminated in an important landmark during its major town hall event, where all offices and plants had a formal unveiling of the company’s new brand, together with a formal presentation of the future plans, initiatives, and opportunities, in a simultaneous global broadcast.

“As we grow and expand it is important to present a brand that aligns with our company’s position as an innovative business at the forefront in our industry,” the company said.

Asian Oil & Gas Awards honours companies who have taken innovative and game-changing steps to address the effects of the climate crisis and meet the growing demand for energy, as well as leadership groundbreaking initiatives and projects in the power sector.
