NPIC develops new rod drive control mechanism

The localized ML-B control rod drive mechanism has been produced successfully.

Designed, manufactured and tested by the Nuclear Power Institute of China, the ML-B control rod drive mechanism is the improved generation of ML-A CRDM.

The relative testing of this new generation equipment has been finished, and the new control rod drive mechanism has achieved the design requirement of the second and improved 1000 Mwe- pressurized water reactor plant unit of nuclear power.
