China's electricity consumption up in October

China's electricity consumption up 6.1 percent.

This is a year on year rise in October, according to the National Energy Administration.

The growth was also substantially bigger than the 2.9-percent rise it exhibited in September.

The NEA added that the country's electricity consumption climbed 4.9 percent in the first ten months compared with one year earlier. The pace of increase was also higher than the 4.8-percent growth registered during the January-September period.
