Russia expresses support for Bangladesh power sector

Russia will assist Bangladesh in developing its power and gas sector, including establishing nuclear power plants.

This was announced by Russian Ambassador in Dhaka, Alexander A Nikolaev, while visiting a newfound gas field at Srikail village in Muradnagar upazila.

A delegation of Russia's Gazprom company, led by the Russian envoy, visited the gas filed to examine the possibility of digging a third well at the gas field.
