Asian Power Awards 2011 winners announced

The best power companies were recognised at this year's awards held in Malaysia.

Dubbed as the ‘Oscars’ of the power industry, the Asian Power Awards 2011 once again gave recognition to the top achievers in the industry who relentlessly strive for great quality and excellence in their own categories.

The Crowne Plaza in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, literally became a ‘powerhouse’ as different delegates from the major power companies attended the awarding ceremony last 28 September 2011 to witness the prestigious event.

After the nomination period from June 8 to August 26, the judges meticulously screened the entries and decided which company is the best among the best in each category.

The judges were John Goss, Managing Director at Ceejay International; Philippe Du Four, Managing Director and Chairman Global Power Practice at Marsh Singapore; John Yeap, Partner and Head of Energy – Asia at Pinsent Masons; Geoff James, Principal Research Scientist, Energy Technology at CSIRO Australia; Robin Pickup, Global Product Manager Inspection Services, Energy at Lloyd’s Register Group; and Andrew Bedford, Senior Environmental Consultant at KBC Advanced Technology Pte Ltd.
