Taiwan jacks-up offshore wind capacity to 15 GW for 2035
The country has raised its goal from 10 GW.
Taiwan has raised its goal for its upcoming offshore wind Round 3 from 10 GW to 15 GW, according to the Bureau of Energy.
The government plans to add 1.5 GW a year of offshore wind capacity from 2026 until 2035 from the previous 1 GW a year.
Taiwan is expected to develop a total of 9 GW of offshore wind between 2026 and 2031 and 6 GW between 2032 and 2035.
