Tata BP commissions 1MW solar plant in India

Tata BP Solar India has installed and commissioned a 1MW solar plant in Tamil Nadu, India.

The engineering, procurement and construction contractor Tata BP installed 4,400 crystalline silicon modules of 230W each in the plant, which is owned and developed by B&G Solar.

The plant, spread over 5.5 acres, is capable of generating 1.49 million units of electricity annually.

These will supply power to the grid lines of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board for a 25-year period.
