Frank Jakob
Frank Jakob is the Energy Storage Technology Manager at Black & Veatch. He directs the inclusion of energy storage systems to improve and enhance renewable and conventional power generation. He has over 30 years of experience with developing new applications for products. At Black & Veatch his focus is on electrochemical devices (batteries and fuel cells) and bulk storage technology (pumped hydro, molten salt, liquid air) in applications for renewable energy (solar photovoltaics and wind turbines) and for conventional generation (gas turbines, diesel engines; hydroelectric and coal plants) adding energy storage to improved operations, extend life, increase responsiveness, and decrease emissions.
