Thailand at the forefront of ASEAN's energy transition: A look ahead to Future Energy Asia

Co-hosted by industry leaders and supported by government officials, the Future Energy Asia Exhibition and Summit aims to accelerate the region's journey towards net-zero emissions.

As the host of the upcoming Future Energy Asia Exhibition and Summit from 15 to 17 May 2024, at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Thailand will underscore its firm commitment and pivotal role in advancing an inclusive and sustainable regional energy transition. 

Thailand's energy sector stands at a transformative crossroads. The government has set ambitious targets to increase the share of renewables in the national energy mix. As the host of Future Energy Asia, Thailand exemplifies what practical energy policies and innovative green technologies can achieve. The summit provides a glimpse into a future where Thailand leads by example, showcasing significant advancements in solar, wind, and bioenergy solutions.

Bringing together visionaries, experts and regional decision-makers, Future Energy Asia will delve into Thailand's green energy policies and their impact on economic growth. The co-location of Future Mobility Asia and Future LNG Asia at Future Energy Asia represents a strategic assembly crucial for spearheading the comprehensive energy transition in Asia and beyond. This integrated platform uniquely addresses the entire energy ecosystem, emphasising the synergistic roles of LNG, innovative mobility solutions, and broader energy strategies to drive a cohesive and sustainable transition to net-zero emissions.

H.E. Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Kingdom of Thailand, will deliver a ministerial address at the Opening Ceremony of Future Energy Asia, Future LNG Asia and Future Mobility Asia. This combined platform is the region's most essential energy transition forum, offering unmatched opportunities to engage with the government and industry leaders spearheading these transformations.

A key theme at Future Energy Asia will be Thailand's mobilising investments across the ASEAN region. The summit will explore innovative financial instruments and partnerships essential for funding the expansive energy transition.
